STEPS TO DRAWING SKINNY JEANS:

STEP 1: Draw out the character that will be wearing the skinny leg jeans. Put your character in any pose you want. Give your character a cute top, but don't add any bottoms yet. STEP 2: Outline where you want the skinny jeans to be. With this outline, determine where you want the jeans to sit on the character's waist, as well as the length of the pant legs. When drawing the pant legs, don't add any flare--skinny jeans fit right against the body in all places. STEP 3:  Add the pants' waist embellishments to the drawing. This includes belt loops, buttons, zippers, belts and pockets. Pockets can be formed by just adding simple slits to sides of the pants. Belt loops are created by using block letter-like Cs along the top of the waistband. STEP 4: Add embellishments to the leg portion of the jeans. Along the sides, add the outer seams, which consist of a small, curving bar in the drawing. Also add the inside seams if they are shown. The inside seams consist of a thin line. Add the ankle seams/cuffs. You can make the cuffs as wide or as narrow as you choose. STEP 5: Draw in the folds off your jeans. With folds, less is more with skinny jeans. If you add a lot of folds, the jeans look bulky. Add folds where the knees bend, near the crotch, and close to any pockets you may have added. Add some folds at the ankles, especially if the character is wearing shoes. In order to indicate indentation in the jeans, color in some dark spots. STEP 6: Color and shade your character to finish off the drawing.
